Software Tools
We use a range of commercially-available risk management and project planning software. We can recommend these to our clients for their highest standard in functionality, performance and ease-of-use. However, we appreciate that our clients may wish to use other packages to fit within existing procedures and methodologies. In these instances, we are able to provide independent and expert advice; we have the necessary experience in the use of most relevant tools, and maintain a constant watch on market developments in risk management software.

Active Risk Manager is a comprehensive and proven web-based, enterprise risk management solution for identifying, assessing, managing, controlling and communicating risk in compliance with project and operational initiatives, corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
Crystal
Ball and Real Options Analysis Toolkit (Decisioneering Inc)
Decisioneering offer a suite of Excel-based applications for risk analysis. Tools include Monte Carlo simulation, optimisation, time-series forecasting and real options analysis.
Crystal Ball automates the cumbersome "what-if" process using Monte Carlo simulation by applying a range of values or a probability distribution to each uncertain variable.
The Real Options Analysis Toolkit is a spreadsheet-based .NET software application for analysing and calculating real options and incorporating them into custom spreadsheet models.
The program functionality can be modified and extended using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Primavera Pertmaster

Pertmaster is an activity network-based project risk analysis software that can run either as a stand-alone programme or a risk “add-on” module for all versions of Primavera planning software and Microsoft Project.
The program functionality of the Pertmaster Risk Expert version can be modified and extended using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). The Pertmaster Project Risk version can run VBA macros provided by others (Pertmaster, Euro Log, or other Pertmaster Risk Expert users).

Primavera offers PC-based planning software. The ability to operate in multiple project and multi-user environments, helps control large and complex projects effectively.
@Risk (Palisade Inc)
@Risk is a spreadsheet-based risk analysis tool that links to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project. The Decision Tools suite also includes Precision Tree, Top Rank, Best Fit, Risk View and Risk Optimizer for probabilistic modelling to quantify and solve decision-making problems.
The program functionality can be modified and extended using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
